Of all the adventure sports that we can find in the active tourism market there is one of them that may be the most extreme of all: a type of skydiving consisting of jumping from the highest point and opening a parachute a few seconds later.

Practice Jumping B.A.S.E.

Do you dare to take the leap?

To practice this extreme sport you must have experience as a skydiver, because without this requirement you will hardly be able to do it. You have to know all the necessary techniques very well, otherwise...your life will be at stake!!

B.A.S.E. jumping It is a super fun aerial sport, but on the other hand it has such a risk that in many countries its practice is prohibited because it puts in danger the lives of the jumpers. Luckily, in Spain we have been able to celebrate World Championship (sponsored by Yumping) and enjoy this activity.

Where can you practice B.A.S.E. Jumping?

Its acronym comes from the English acronym that refers to the static places in which it can be practiced. Let us remember that unlike skydiving in which the jump occurs from an aircraft in flight, the base jumper does so from fixed objects:

  • Building: building
  • Antenna: antenna (can also be towers, chimneys, etc.)
  • Span: bridge
  • Earth: land (ravine or precipices)

 World B.A.S.E Jumping Championship.

If you think that being a skydiver can be exciting (which, in fact, it is), imagine a practice in which you only have a few seconds to open the parachute before reaching the ground.

From what height are the jumps performed?

It is up to each jumper to decide how far they are willing to go, since it is normal to practice at a height of approximately 600 meters. This means that a skydiver who is going to jump from this point will be 22 seconds from the ground...

Well now, these were the standard measurements so to speak, but the truth is that many of these jumpers jump at a distance of about 150 m, or what is the same... 5, 5 seconds off the ground!!!

Would you dare to jump 150 meters?

What material is needed?

Although it is a modality of skydiving does not use the same material. Because? In traditional skydiving there are two parachutes, where only the first one opens and the second remains as a reserve. In the B.A.S.E Jump. There is only one parachute (if it failed there would be no time to open the second one).

Experiencing high doses of adrenaline has a name: B.A.S.E Jump. Do you dare?
