1. Punta Santa Anna
Punta Santa Anna, also known as "the gateway to the Costa Brava", is located in the Blanes area, in a fishing port in the town.
It is a well-known place for divers in the area and one of its strong points is that you can start the dive from the beach. It is an easy level dive and has a maximum depth of 16 meters.
2. Cala S’Agüia
It is located on the outskirts of Blanes and is very little known by tourists. It is a hidden corner with a special charm.
Cala S’ Agüia is a cove that is very well protected from the waves since it is located between two large islets that have a great visual impact.
The dive is easy, the only drawback is that the beach has no sand, it is all rocks and pebbles.
3. Fenals Beach
It is located in Lloret de Mar and has several areas for diving. Both are shallow and are located at the beginning and end of the beach. It is a perfect beach for those who are starting to dive and want to improve their technique.
In the north dive you enter from the beach and dive from south to north. The maximum depth is between 6 and 8 meters deep.

4. Medes Islands
It is a marine reserve in the municipality of L’ Estartit with a wide variety of aquatic animals. Being protected you will find large marine species.
Here you can find diving areas according to your tastes and levels, whether in Meda Gran or Meda Petita. Among its diving points in Meda Gran are: El Salpatxot, El Medallot, Pedra de Deu, Pota del Llop strong>, La Vaca and L'Embarcador. And in Meda Petita: La Ressagosa, El Dofí, Les Ferranelles and cara Bernat.
5. Ullastres
It is located in Llafranc and is divided into Ullastres 1,2 and 3. These are three underwater mountains located to the south of the Cap de Sant Sebastià that differ depending on far away from the coast.
- Ullastres 1: it is the shallowest part, with a depth of 10 to 32 meters. It is the best area for divers with less experience since it is the one that is best protected from the winds and the one that is closest to the coast.
- Ullastres 2: It is a little more complicated, but it is the best known. The minimum depth is 8 meters and the maximum is 40 meters. It has rock formations more than 20 meters high.
- Ullastres 3: it is the most complicated but the most impressive area. The minimum depth is 8 meters and you can descend up to 55 meters deep.
6. Illes Formigues
The Illes Formigues is a group of islets that are accessed by boat. Its crystal clear waters make it a perfect area for diving.
Together with the Medes Islands, these islands are one of the points on the Costa Brava most visited by divers. The minimum depth is 9 meters and the maximum is 45 meters.
You can find small underwater caves and large mountains with all kinds of sponges and corals.
7. Cap de Creus
Cap de Creus was the first protected maritime natural park in Catalonia. The marine reserve includes the island of Massa d’Or and La Rata.
You can descend up to 50 meters deep and see all types of marine fauna. You can make a great immersion, but you have to be careful with strong currents.
8. The Gorgonians
The Gorgonias are located in Lloret de Mar and it is the ideal place for technical diving. It is a slab that is 56 meters deep.
