  • Freestyle: you can do as many pirouettes as you want, from jumps to backward turns (backflip), through complete rotations in which you hold the board with one hand (360 backside indy) or pick up a lot of snow in a turn in the most spectacular way possible (lay back turn).
  • Freeride: you should preferably practice it off the slopes, surfing the mountains between steep slopes, trees and natural jumps, where powder snow is the main protagonist.

 Learn about extreme snowboarding

  • Freecarve: to practice it you will go at a medium-high speed in alpine terrain where you will find constant changes of direction.
  • Race: the most important thing is to slide through extreme places at higher speeds, since the essence of this modality is to go as fast as possible.
  • Extreme Snowboard: It is the most difficult one that you will only practice if you are already a professional. You have to know everything about the terrain you are going to, the state of the snow, the weather forecast... A slight mistake could have not very pleasant consequences.

It is advisable to take into account some tipsbefore developing your capabilities and carrying out any of the mentioned techniques:

  • Start by doing small jumps and turns on a flat place to familiarize yourself with the table.
  • When you are getting more comfortable, you can start sliding down a not very steep slope and try to jump while moving, first bending your knees to gain momentum.
  • Land in a place with a similar inclination to that of the take-off area, since if you do so on a flat surface you may find yourself with a ligament injury.
  • Do not jump with your legs straight: you should always bend your knees to avoid injury.
