Sport-Class presents an exhibition by the Alfonso Cruz artist who, for several years, paints under the sea. A curious hobby that has led him to tour the world being the protagonist of almost 40 individual exhibitions and more than 50 collective. Germany, Andorra or the United States have witnessed their long career that covers different areas of the art world (poetry, painting, writing).
One day he decided to embark on the underwater painting , so he has been able to travel various waters, such as those of the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean or the Red Sea. This hobby that would become a profession has led him to give lectures, be the protagonist of films and paint and exhibit in various international events such as XX International Submarine Film Cycle of San Sebastián, among many others.
To carry out his works he has had to become an expert diver and thanks to this he has submerged under the waters to paint the submarine scenario live, representing in full color the various qualities that the species that inhabit it have. Flora and fauna have been the protagonists of scenes on canvases that are previously waterproofed with a layer of chlorocaucho, so that the oil does not dissolve.
realism and expressionism are mixed in paintings where shipwrecks, caves or marine landscapes are more alive than ever so that anyone who cannot practice diving discovers the beauty that the waters entail. The colors shine like never before in all their splendor with red, yellow or blue that contrast with explosions of a white so pure that floods the result with light.
