If you feel that the moment has come when your chances have increased in pace, quality and level, then you can compete. Choose from regional level competitions to get started and then move on to the national level.
What type of championships can I find?
The National Federation of Speleology makes the following divisions:
- The Spanish Vertical Progression Championship in all modalities and categories.
- The National Vertical Progression Tournaments score for the Ranking of all modalities and categories.
- Theofficial international Vertical Progression championships and tournaments that take place in Spain.

Andalusian Championship of Vertical Progression Techniques

Vertical Progression Techniques Championship of the Valencian Community
A full-fledged tournament, in which you can compete with climbers and cavers in your own category. You will have to overcome cavities, zip lines, rappels... all those obstacles that you can find inside a cave. Specifications about competitions
The competitions will vary depending on the category (children, youth or seniors) and the modality (female or male). It will have various phases in which three major tests will have to be passed: speed, endurance and overcoming a vertical progression circuit, whether in the air free or covered, natural or artificial.
The rules of the competition you want to register for must be provided to you by the entity that organizes said test. Likewise, you will have to know some basic rules of conduct that, if broken, will entail the corresponding penalties.
