Everything is ready for the next kitesurf championship: the Spanish Cup. The venue is the wonderful Pantano del Ebro, in the municipality of Valle de Valdebezana (Cabañas de Virtus-Burgos) and the dates chosen are July 30 and 31 and August 1. An event that you cannot miss.

The kitesurf school Extrem Center has the opportunity to offer you the celebration of this event that will not leave anyone indifferent, much less those lovers of water sports, especially kite. It also has the collaboration of the Northern Kitesurf and Windsurf Association (ANKW), an association that has the corresponding registration in the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFVE) and that fights for objectives as simple as that all those who practice kite and windsurfing are federated, they have third party civil liability insurance, they have medical insurance and a long etcetera.
The Ebro Reservoir has spectacular landscapes in which the practice of adventure sports, in this case aquatic sports, is the easiest. The next event that will take place there has considerable importance, since the RFEV will award the titles of champion of Spain 2010.
The Spanish Cup will feature the participation of great kitesurfers such as the world-famous Gisela Pulido, who has won the title of World Champion five times, or José Alarcón , current champion of Spain. Without a doubt, the excitement is served.
The characteristics of the regatta are the following:
- Spanish Cup 2010
- Spanish Inland Water Cup 2010
- Castilla y León Autonomous Championship
- Kiteboarg class
- Racing mode

The rules to follow are those defined by the RRV Sailing Racing Regulations and the kiteboarding class regulations 2010 of the RFEV-AEK. Special signals can be made from two places: land (they will be given at the main signal mast) and water (from the signal mast located on the starting boat).
The start of the competition may depend on the forecast of the wind to make the most of the conditions, with competitors being notified a day in advance in case of a time change. It is necessary to know that there will be no more than 15 heats in the event nor more than 5 whole fleet competitions or 4, with a combination of whole fleet and single heats taking place for each day of competition.
As for the routes, you will find them specified in the venue of the event, being an itinerary that can be completed in 15 minutes. The beacons are cylinder-shaped and the one that indicates a change of route will be red. There will be a departure mark and another arrival mark.

If you have questions or want to register, do not hesitate to contact the Extrem Center Kitesurf Shop and School and they will give you the information you need without obligation. But if you want to have a good time, the best thing you can do is go to the Ebro Reservoir on July 30 and 31 and August 1. You won't regret it.
