Gisela Pulido is a champion through and through, since she has been around for six years now who has been obtaining the title of World Champion and is fighting to achieve the seventh title. At only 7 years old she got on a kiteboarding board for the first time and has not yet gotten off, thus becoming one of the most representative Spanish athletes.
At the age of 10 he won his first title and is fighting for the seventh in his collection, with three stages left to finish the year: Argentina, New Caledonia and Australia. The World Championship that is being held throughout different spots hosts great kitesurfers, among whom is Gisela. He is currently in first position, both in the wave and freestyle modes and promises good results.

One of the athlete's latest adventures has consisted of challenging the FRS Ferry that connects Tarifa with Tangier, which she has been watching for many years, since she lives and trains in the waters of Tarifa. This is one of the fastest ferries we have in Spain, taking into account that it has 40,000 horses. Without a moment's hesitation, he sailed alongside the ferry a distance of 28 km that separates the two countries, becoming one of the few people to do so.
The race had one of the closest finishes that could have been predicted, as the ferry made the journey in half an hour and reached 42 knots. As an advantage, we add that Pulido had in his favor the forced reduction in speed that the ship would have to take both when entering and leaving the port, as well as the possibility of taking the shortest route. Even so, it was not easy, as the wind was extremely variable, making the journey difficult.
The young Catalan has fulfilled a dream, since her days of hard training in the waters of Tarifa have always been accompanied by the presence of this ferry. For her it has been a most important challenge and she has declared "one of the challenges that I have always had in mind not only because of the great physical difficulty involved in covering that great distance with the kite, but also because of the bucolic meaning that it has. managing to unite two continents on that route."
The kitesurf is one of the water sports that require more effort and a very hard training, since you have to control both the kite equipment and the water and the wind. But for Gisela Pulido it is very comforting, as it gives her a feeling of freedom while she learns various maneuvers that help her be in the top positions.

The kitesurfer also holds the title of Spanish Champion in this modality, and such is her skill in this practice that she has become the youngest athlete to have received a nomination for the Laureaus World Sport Awards in the extreme sports category. She has also received awards such as the Guinness World Record for being the youngest world champion, decorated at the Marca 70th Anniversary Gala, among others.
If you want to learn kitesurfing do not hesitate to do it, because you will see how much fun you have and who knows if in the future you will meet Gisela in a competition...
