Horseback riding routes for beginners

If you have never ridden a horse but it is something you would like to try, here we give you some basic tips to live this experience for the first time. Surely when you try it you will want to repeat.

Horseback riding for people without experience

Do you like horses? You have no idea about horses, but you love these beautiful animals? Don't know where to start?

More and more people, of all ages, are encouraged to try "horse riding", and a good way to have a first contact is to take a horse ride.

There are many options, which you can consult here but for now we will start by giving you some tips for your first horseback riding :

The Equestrian Center. First and most importantly, you must choose a center with a proven reputation. We must not forget that we are going to ride on top of a (large) animal, along paths without fences to protect us, and it is essential that the activity be directed by true professionals to avoid surprises.

So spend 10 minutes first reading the opinions of people who have already done the activity. If you want to enjoy even more, choose equestrian centers located in natural environments and you will also enjoy magnificent landscapes.

The equipment and clothing. Secondly, wear comfortable clothing: jeans, sweatpants or leggings (that do not slip). We recommend that you avoid shorts, short skirts, high heels and excessively thick hiking boots. Ideally, you should wear sneakers, cowboy boots, etc. The equipment should always include, without exception, a helmet (it must be provided by the equestrian club). In our case we also provide (for hygiene) disposable caps, for those who want to put them under their helmet.

The day of the activity. Arrive with plenty of time, not just enough time, it is good that before getting on you and yours you see the horses, caress them and get mentally in mind that you are going to get on one, because once the instructor tells you "let's get on the horse" everything will happen very quickly. So better without rushing.

We firmly believe in the benefit of doing a mini-class before going out into the field, because when you get on the horse you are quite tense until you "master" them. That way you go out into the field more relaxed and we can also assess if someone is not qualified to go out into the field that could endanger the safety of the group.

With these little ones details we have managed to have an excellent level of security for many years. For this reason we also limit this activity to those over 15 years of age, we must not forget that it is a sport that may entail some risk.

And all that remains is to go for a horse ride through the forest, normally in groups of between 2 and 8 people accompanied by expert instructors. Depending on the level of the group, you may trot or even gallop. It will always be the monitor's decision.

The benefits of riding a horse are infinite, (that is why therapies are done with horses) and in this case you will surely be able to disconnect from everything, forget the stress and feel that you have been able to "carry a horse", something that will raise your self-esteem.
