The first thing you need to fly is to have your feet on the ground, although it may seem paradoxical. Nowadays, the romanticism of those classic airplanes in which a daring aviator with peculiar glasses, a wind-blown scarf and his characteristic jacket that is still in fashion has given way to professionalism and technology for the safety of both the student and whoever look for your first experience. At Aeroclub Llanera, dedicated to the training of private pilots, they have been taking you by the hand in this process since the beginning of the 90s because an experience at heights is something very serious that you will enjoy like a child. .

Ribadesella from the small plane

You can have your first aerial contact with a short trip in the small plane or put yourself in the oft-cited role of "pilot for a day." Thinking big, why don't you go prepare to be the pilot? By the way, whatever the winning option, don't forget to look down. We are in Asturias and the landscapes between the sea and the mountains are spectacular.

A baptism on high

What we like most about this adventure is that it is "said and done." A baptism of flight you can do it when you feel like giving a kick to the monotony or if you are about to fall in desperation before your father's birthday or that anniversary of which he is confess that you don't want to forget. To say that it is the ideal gift is an understatement. It consists of a flight led by one of the flying club's pilots for half an hour or 60 full minutes in which you can contemplate the beach and the greenery of the Asturian meadows.

In most cases, you or the honoree go alone with the instructor, but at the Llanera Aeroclub you can finally share this great moment because you can hire one to three seats for the same journey. Would you miss the face of the most important person in your life while you stay on the track waiting?

Today the pilot is you

And it is enough that you have turned 13 years old if Dad and mom have given you permission to do so. The "Pilot for a day" flights are one of the most striking proposals of this great center of flight. Leave your true dedication at home because you will identify from the beginning with a flight professional to end up putting yourself at the controls of the plane. You will be received at the flying club to explain the theory on which the flight is based. This, which sounds very serious, is actually an amazing contact with concepts that you are normally unaware of, such as why and how the plane flies, how the controls work and how the weather influences it.

You will do all this in 45 minutes. Inside the plane, another hour awaits you to try for yourself how to ascend, how to face a turn and how to undertake the descent. It is clear that your emotions are going to be on edge as you feel responsible for such achievements, but you can rest assured because the instructor is the one who constantly maintains control of the device.

Another more extended version of your prior preparation as a pilot is the initiation flight courses. At the Aeroclub they will give them to you in 3 sessions with 60 minutes of flight in which they delve into everything you need to know about this aerial modality.
