But from time to time other types of themed races are held in which everything revolves around a general idea: the celebration of spring with the Holi Run, obstacle races, lights races neon, the Pizza Run, with costumes... And as it could not be less, we also have the race zombie.

And it is not surprising, since zombies have a long tradition, and are found in ancient legends, works of literature, cinema, television, comics or video games. There is a whole history, characterization, norms of behavior and even rules for surviving a zombie invasion, so it seems that it is more than just a fad.
But what do these types of races consist of? Below we give you a little more information:
How long is the route?
It is a 5 km race in which the participant who acts as a human will have to overcome various obstacles.

Is the itinerary simple?
They are 5 km in which you have to run through the countryside and overcome various natural and artificial obstacles, where you have to crawl on the ground, climb, jump... but above all run if you don't know how! He wants the zombies to take all the lives!
You have to be careful, because the path is completely infested with zombies... Terrifyingly fun!

Which side would you go on?
You can attend the event on either side:
- Human. If you choose to go as a healthy person, you have to do the itinerary running until you reach the finish line. Of course, you should try to finish at the point of arrival with at least one life. The lives are colored scarves that are worn on the belt and that the zombies are responsible for tearing off in order to eliminate the runner.

- Zombie. The ideal is to wear makeup from home, but for those who prefer to go on this side, there is a team of makeup artists who are in charge of characterizing and/or retouching the dead living creatures andthey organize themselves into groups (hordes) to go after the corridors and take their lives.
Who wins the runners VS zombies race?
The human who reaches the goal first with at least one life wins and the group of zombies that manages to take the most lives wins. Furthermore, within the horde, those who put themselves most into the role are usually rewarded: movements, sounds, characterization...

How to prepare for the race?
If you would like to sign up for one of these races, the first and most important thing you need is to go with the desire to have good vibes and have a good time. Even if you are clear that you are going to compete, don't mind losing, don't get angry if you get eliminated... the idea is to play and have fun!
Tips:
- Go for a run a few days beforehand, especially to get some physical fitness if you don't want to get too tired during the race.
- If you want to act as a zombie watch some of the movies that have been made in recent years to get into the character: the way they move, how they are dressed, what sounds they make, how they communicate... .
- Don't forget to bring water.

- Go with comfortable clothes and shoes that fit snugly on your feet and do not cause chafing or damage, as this could cause you to carry out the race in perfect conditions.
