The first thing will be to get up early so as not to get too crowded and head towards the Puerto de Navacerrada, where the route will begin. We take the Coruña highway and take exit 39 to take the road that will take us to the port, the M-601. It is important to inform yourself about the weather in advance and find out if you have to climb the pass with chains.

Once at the top, we park in one of the parking lots there (remember that you have to get up early because otherwise they fill up), and we head towards the Cogorros residence where we put on our snowshoes to climb up to the Alto del Telégrafo and take a photo next to the virgin. This ascent is relatively simple since it is done along the Camino Schmidt and through the Valsaín forest.

The visual beauty of the environment will transport you to a magical place if there is a lot of snow on the trees. We will pass through the El Bosque cross-country ski track where we will take extreme caution and continue to Peña Hueca and Alto del Telégrafo. The Panoramic view will be spectacular from where you can see the Segovian area of La Granja and Valsaín and on the other side La Maliciosa and Alto de Guarramillas.

We will continue until we reach the Siete Picos meadow where we will climb to the seventh peak overcoming a difference in altitude of about 400 meters. The climb is simple to then access the other peaks. We will take a break to eat something and then we will go down the northern slope of seven peaks along the Schmidt Trail on a wide and perfectly prepared path to the residence of Cogorros again where we will finish this super route for the whole family.

To finish we finish with a winter panorama of the Seven Peaks. Spectacular! Now that you know one of the routes you can do in the Sierra de Guadarrama, what are you waiting for? It is a great plan for both the oldest and the youngest in the house.
