How did the idea of the Wave House come about? Tom Lochtefeld is a professional surfer, with a long career, and has decided to install this sports complex in Mallorca, after having had the experience on other international beaches such as Santiago de Chile, San Diego, Singapore...
How does the "invention" work? They have 2 Wave Loch wave machines: the FlowBarrel and the double FlowRider.
The FlowBarrel is the first machine in Europe and works by projecting water at a speed of 48 km/h over a 3-meter curved wall, which produces an undulation to obtain the perfect wave. If you don't have experience in the world of surfing, don't worry, because the double FlowRider is ideal for beginners, as it causes a wave without a break with a speed of 32 km/h.
Wave House Features
- You can book the activity at least one hour in advance, both with an instructor and with private sessions
- There can be a maximum of 10 people per hour
- You must be taller than 107 cm to be able to surf a bodyboard in the case of the Double FlowRider and at least 133 cm to be able to surf both waves.
