Formigal
is divided into 4 valleys that you can access without problem one by one by skiing. Let's start!

THE 7 BEST SLOPES FOR SKIING IN FORMIGAL

1.Three Men

It is probably the track par excellence of the entire Formigal-Panticosa station. With a length of one and a half kilometers and a gradient of 450 meters, it is a comfortable, wide track used for large international competitions. You have to take the Sallent ski lift from Sextas and reach the top of Tres Hombres peak using another ski lift (Tramacastilla). It is a red slope, but suitable for both experts and amateurs who are improving their level. Here you can see a video of a descent down this track.

2. The Forest

Also in the Sextas area, this track stands out for its spectacular views of its surroundings, crossing a forest at 1,800 meters above sea level. You access it through the Crestas chair and begin the descent through Tosquera until you reach a haven of unparalleled peace. It is a red track where you can also see the recreation of an Indian village during the descent. A luxury and for many considered the best in the season! It is advisable to go in the morning due to the quality and abundance of snow. Here we leave you with a video of the descent recorded with Go Pro.

3. Escarra

Another favorite for fans of this winter season. You have to access Punta de las tres Huegas using a ski lift (ESCARRA) from the Izas area. It is an affordable track but with a considerable inclination of one km in length where you will descend a total of 280 meters. Highly recommended! Watch this video of the descent.

4. Stadium Huegas

Short track that is also accessed from the Izas area with the Huegas ski lift. It is also a fan favorite. Red track approximately one kilometer long where you will descend again to the Izas area. In addition, this station leads to a super cool igloo where you can calmly have something like authentic Eskimo sushi. Yeah!

5. Lanuza

We continue in the Izas area to climb the Lanuza ski lift that will take you to the blue slope of Sarrios, where you will connect with the red slope of Lanuza. 500 meters of track parallel to the ski lift to lead back to the Izas area. A simple but fun track since you can pick up high speed. Adrenaline in its purest form! Watch the following video.

6. Pipos

This peculiar track is accessed using a machine called "ski ratrack", a piste to which you will hook yourself using a cable and ascend in the same way as a normal ski lift. On this red-colored, intermediate-difficult track, you can take a break in an old shepherd's hut called "La Glera" at about 2,000 meters above sea level. Amazing! Oh, the ski-ratrack is included in the ski pass so don't hesitate to go try it.

7. Battler

This last track can be considered the easiest of all but that doesn't make it any less fun. We change Valley to go to the Portalet area at 1750 meters above sea level, from where the 6-seater Batallero ski lift begins. Track classified as blue but very very fun where you can also contemplate spectacular views of the entire Portalet Valley.
