There are different types of federative licenses depending on the needs of each mountaineer. Here we present them to you so that you can choose the one that best suits what you are looking for and purchase it.

  • Type AU - Regional License. It would be subject to the practice of mountain sports within the province in which it is acquired and covers the activities of hiking, camping, marches, climbing walls, climbing, ravines, hiking, caving, mountain running, mountain skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing and ferratas. The price is €34 for young people and €60 for seniors.

  • Type A - FEDME Hiking License. Covers hiking, marching, camping and mountaineering activities WITHOUT ropes, crampons or snowshoes. The price is €41 for young people and €80 for seniors. It is valid for Spain, Andorra, French Pyrenees, Morocco and Portugal.

 Canyoning guides


  • Type OT - Autumn promotional license. Valid for the last 3 months of the year. It has coverage in the same countries as the Type A license and covers the same activities as the Type AU license. Its cost is €45 for young people and €60 for seniors.

Mountain sports


  • Type B - FEDME License (formerly B1). Its scope of validity is in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Andorra and the French Pyrenees. It costs €56 for young people and €100 for seniors. Covers all sports of the Type AU license.
*Alpine skiing and mountain biking add-ons can be included in all these licenses for an additional €5.

  • Type C - FEDME License (formerly B2). It covers Spain, Morocco and the European political territory. Covers mountaineering, hiking, trekking, marching, camping, climbing, mountaineering, climbing walls, canyoning, mountain running, canicross, snowshoeing, caving, snow, cross-country skiing, snow and mountain skiing, alpine skiing, routes ferratas, telemark and mountain biking. In this case, mountain bike accidents within competitions are not included. The rate for young people is €89 and for seniors €124.

 High mountain guides


  • Type D - FEDME License (formerly B3). The scope of validity is worldwide except for polar expeditions and mountains over 7,000 meters in altitude. It covers the same activities as Type C and MTB accidents in competitions are also excluded. The rate is €149 for young people and for adults over €175.

 Federal mountain licenses


  • Type E - FEDME License (formerly B4). The scope of the license is worldwide, including expeditions and mountains over 7,000 meters in altitude. It covers the same mountain sports as Type C and MTB accidents in competition are also excluded. Its price for youth is €434 and €465 for adults.

*The validity of any type of insurance is from January 1 to December 31, regardless of the time of year in which it is processed. Likewise, the rates are fixed, that is, there is no possibility of making a proportional payment during the year.
