After completing my studies in 2022 in Bordeaux, France, I decided to move to Spain on a whim. I joined Yumping after an initial experience in Madrid as a Content Manager in the French content department. Here, I currently manage the integration of new content, the implementation of press relations in the French market, and also the updating of existing content.
Educational Background
I completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communication and then an MBA in Marketing, Brand Management, and Innovation at
ISEG, the School of Marketing, Communication, and Digital Inside in Bordeaux, where, in addition to my academic background, I was able to acquire a range of skills in Marketing and Communication. I also completed five internships and work-study programs where I learned to put what I was learning into practice.
Professional Experience
After these numerous professional experiences (internships, work-study programs, and jobs), which gave me a wealth of skills and an understanding of the entrepreneurial, digital, and professional worlds, plus my degree in hand, I decided to move abroad and chose a neighboring country whose culture differs greatly from France's, and where differences would not be judged but appreciated: Spain.
Having been a literary enthusiast since my early childhood, I grew up with my best friends: books, including great authors like Jane Austen, Tolkien, Shakespeare, Bukowski, Tolstoy, and many others. The world of writing appealed to me, so why not combine digital technology with my first passion after all? So I discovered SEO and learned everything I could about it. We never learn everything at school, so there are times when you have to learn on your own or continue to learn after graduation because our careers evolve.
Experience in Adventure Sports
When I was younger, I had the opportunity to practice competitive gymnastics for six years, but an injury forced me to stop, and since then, I haven't found a sport that excites me as much.
Questions for Steven Suberbere on Yumping
What are the three adventure activities you should do at least once in your life?
I would say scuba diving because I've always been fascinated by the marine world and the mysteries hidden within. I'll follow that up with Efoil, an innovative water sport that combines surfing and speed. Just to experience those sensations, I think it's a worthwhile activity. Then there's skydiving. I really love the thrills, and even though I think it'll scare me, the satisfaction afterwards is worth facing your fears.
What activity or sport would you like to practice as an instructor?
I would definitely choose surfing. The beauty of this sport on the waves and the techniques it requires make it a sport that blends artistry and technique. Moreover, it's a water sport, and I think it's probably one of the most beautiful. Even the longboard itself is very artistic in its design, right down to the final product. Knowing that it can be customized to suit the surfer, in my opinion, this also adds to the personality infused into this board sport.
What activities do you recommend in your hometown?
I'm from Bordeaux, so I think a cruise on the Garonne is ideal for discovering the French wine capital, not to mention the city's historical and cultural heritage. And for a little more excitement and to explore the region, nothing beats the skies, so I would suggest paragliding over the Dune du Pyla. Over the Arcachon Bay, you'll have a breathtaking panoramic view.
