Tips if you are going to do Canyoning in Mexico

If exercise is what you want to do, canyoning is one of the extreme sports that require more physical effort because in one single day you can walk, jump from rock to rock, run, swim, throw yourself off natural slides, and it is often also complemented by other extreme sports such as rappelling or climbing. 1. Extreme emotions



Canyoning is undoubtedly a sport where you will get some of the highest kicks of adrenaline. The activities you will do during a route can vary and each one of them will make you feel different levels of emotion, many of them in the extreme. Depending on the natural scenery where you carry this sport out, you will be able to cross rivers, climb big natural walls, swim in beautiful lagoons or crystal-clear water pools or rappel in waterfalls. 4. Get ready for the occasion



Since it is a sport that includes several activities during a single day, it is important that you are well prepared. The most important thing is that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The weather in the canyons is usually cool so we recommend that you bring a windbreaker or any clothing that maintains a certain degree of thermal insulation. Your shoes should have good adherence, preferably non-slip soles as it is important that you feel safe when moving around and avoid any chances of slipping or falling. Usually, this activity also requires that you do some swimming in pools, lagoons or rivers where the water is usually cold. Some people even wear wetsuits to avoid suffering the cold temperatures of the water. It is important that there are no chemical products in your sunblock or insect repellent because these pollute the water of the canyon, seriously damaging the species that live there. Even if you don't see them, they are there, as they can be both microscopic and macroscopic.
