This Lombard monumental complex has very ancient origins: in fact, it was born as a Roman military outpost in the 5th century BC. and, 300 years later, it converted into a religious center, thanks to the settlement of a group of Benedictine nuns.

In the following years, it transformed into an agricultural center and, finally, in the nineteenth century it began to progressively lose its religious function.
