Mycology route for Álava schools

Today's schoolchildren are more interested in learning knowledge through their tablets than going out into the world to explore. We want to break with that practice and for that we have prepared a mycology route through Álava. They will learn, first-hand, the characteristics of mushrooms and fungi. A guide specialized in this subject will be in charge of instructing you.

Children will come into contact with nature and will have the opportunity to learn which species are edible and which are not. Who knows, it may be the beginning of a passion that awakens in some students. Because, in addition, we will teach them to recognize and differentiate between mushrooms and fungi. On the other hand, and so that the collection is carried out properly, we will tell you how to extract them from the ground. A practice that not everyone knows.

Among the species that you will meet, are the sensational Perretxicos, the Morchella esculenta and a toxic species, such as the Entoloma Lividum, commonly known as the Deceptive Mushroom. The route will be established days prior to its completion and according to the preferences of the participants. It could be from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
