We invite you to delve into the wine world with this visit to Bodegas Monje in the heart of Tenerife. The Winery that has views of Mount Teide is located in "La Hollera" a place belonging to the Municipality of El Sauzal.
On the tour we will tell you the history that surrounds the Monje family, who have been dedicated to the world of wine since 1750. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to taste a glass of one of our young wines, and of course paired with an appetizer.
You will discover how classic practices such as oak barrels coexist with the most modern maceration mechanisms, a contrast of past and present that are a symbol of this winery.
The wines are grown on volcanic soils, something that influences the flavor and texture of the wine, and that will ensure that it does not go unnoticed by your palate.
The activity consists of:

Our wines made with Canarian varieties free of phylloxera and grown in volcanic soils will not leave you indifferent. Learn, savor and live this unique experience.
The tasting can be done in the store (Tasting Room) or in the Restaurant-Terrace, you can choose two wines from our young wines, Dragoblanco, Rosado Bibiana, or the red wines, Hollera, Tradicional and Tinto Monje accompanied by two appetizers; watercress butter montadito made by us with sea salt from Tintilla wine and bread with homemade almogrote (Canarian mojo + cured goat cheese)

Description of Tour of our wineries with 3 glasses of wine
The Canary Islands are also land of large wines, broths that acquire a special character thanks to a climate and cultivation conditions that are nowhere else in the Peninsula. We propose that you discover its greatness through this visit to our Bodega Tenerife of El Sauzal .
We will take a tour of the totality of the facilities accompanying the elaboration process that follows the wine from the vital beginning of the grape in the vineyard until it reaches the consumer table.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to taste 3 varieties within those that are among our young wines. To extol the flavors present in the tasting, we will accompany them with 3 different snacks for each person who is part of this visit.
We will use about three quarters of time in this experience that can be done any day of the week. Throughout the year we are available from 10 am at 7 pm in the afternoon.

The winery is beautiful and recommendable, but the tasting is very loose. We tried a red and a white wine, the third was a Muscat, we had no choice.
