Description of Guies Vall Fosca

At Guies Vall Fosca we have the entire annual calendar organized with adventures that fit into each of the months of the year. Thus, whatever time you visit us, we can propose a new adventure with which you will extract all the value of the valley, its lakes and its peaks. Some of them:

- Via ferratas: the simplest way to climb because, not only do we use our arms and legs as in climbing, but it is the rock itself, with elements such as walkways or staples, the which serves as our main support.

- Canyoning of all kinds: what we are most proud of is that we do not leave anyone out of the practice of canyoning. We have planned our descents at special levels so that children can tackle them. If they are 7 years old or older, they can do it with you. Those of you who are already more than used to the activity can choose those canyons that you do not yet know.

- Snowshoes: winter offers us a new opportunity to see how the mountains transform. Walking calmly, with the rackets that we lend you, you will witness this first-hand.

- Hiking: the thaw and the greenery that appears again in the area will allow us to reach great routes such as the one to the lakes. Up to 32 dot these mountains, we can choose between which ones to visit as part of our excursions.

All our activities are complemented with other simpler ones, such as archery, which you can request at our facilities.

What we like most at Guies Vall Fosca about the ravines we work in this area is that they are easily adaptable to all levels and, therefore, to all ages. With us you will not have to give up seeing a river from inside its channel because you come with your family or because you do not dare to take on a challenge that could become too demanding for you.

In La Vall Fosca we will find an area in which nature has been preserved practically intact that we can see through:

- A junior canyoning: at only 7 years old you can participate in this section that has no complexity at all, without giving up those water slides on the rock that we like so much. Of course adults are equally welcome, which is why it is the one we recommend most for families.

- Standard canyoning: there are several that respond to characteristics that allow us to group them at a medium-low level. Any adult can face them, as is the case with Viu de Llevata or Flamisell.

There is also the possibility of you being the one to tell us which ravine you would like to visit. You just have to tell us the area because we know the canyons that await us in it.

At Guies Vall Fosca we have so much experience in the entire area that the time of year does not matter or if the snow is the protagonist of these landscapes. We adapt to the terrain and go with you if what you want is to take advantage of the winter circumstances to put on your skis.

Do you want to know what we can do for you when the mountain turns white?:

- Climb to prominent peaks on a journey whose objective will be to locate the best routes for descent. This way you will be skiing without having to resort to the occasional saturation that the ski resort slopes suffer.

- Discover each of the mountains of Vall Fosca. Based on the meteorological reports, you will only have to choose if you want to delve into the best-known names, such as the Arán Valley or the Alt Àneu, or dare to try others like Montsent de Pallars.

Of course, always keep in mind that to have a good time we will have to adapt the place we want to reach to your level in this sport, as well as the physical endurance you have.

Get away from the idea that in winter you cannot walk in the mountains because of the snow. For those of us who make up Guies Vall Fosca, this is nothing more than an advantage that adds beauty to our itinerary and allows us to enjoy it with a new element: snowshoes.

Prepare your personal material before coming. The best thing is that you do not forget the sun cream, even if it is not summer, that you dress warmly, that you bring boots that do not get water in and a small backpack in which to store what you need. The rackets are here waiting for you, along with the canes that serve as support to move forward. Now that we are ready, it is your turn to decide between:

- An adventure of only half a day: it is the one we most recommend for the first time. It is made up of simple paths that leave us with the first impressions of the environment without having to go too far from the starting point or complicate the journey too much.

- An excursion in which we will spend the whole day: we gain elevation gain and we take you through different points in which the progression technique takes on different nuances that we will reveal to you on the ground.

If you simply want to have our equipment, rent our rackets and poles. We have availability from children's sizes starting at number 27.

At Guies Vall Fosca what we do best is reflected in our name, acting as guides and accompanying you on hiking expeditions so that you can take all the details of our environment back home.

Having professionals for your excursion has two great advantages: you will be safe because you are not in danger of getting lost or taking a wrong path; On the other hand, you will reach the most interesting points that only those of us who are used to visiting these places know about. Some of them are:

- Interlagos: Vall Fosca is made up of more than thirty lakes. On this occasion we have prepared an itinerary so that you can discover 18 of them. To get there, we will go up by cable car.

- Lakes of Gento, Coromina and Mar Frescau: on this outing we will introduce you to the way of life that we saw here decades, even centuries ago. It is somewhat shorter, normally not exceeding 4 hours.

- From Estany to Capdella: the cable car once again serves as support for an ascent that exceeds 2000 meters in height. We will walk along the rail, previously used for transporting material.

At Guies Vall Fosca we know that archery is one of the sports that we most want to try at any time. In it everything is advantages: in simple terms, there is practically no age limit and you have to be at a certain physical point. It is perfect if you come to practice activities with us and want to complement them without complicating things.

- The first thing is concentration: if something comes into play in archery, it is your mind. Relax, breathe and stare at the target. The more focused you are on it, the closer you will get to its center with each shot.
- The traditional bows: although we use recurved bows, which make our function even easier, we practice the classic modality, without additions. It will be in this one that we will start you, creating, surely, a new addiction and desire to improve yourself and continue testing until you achieve the best score.

- Facilities ready during all seasons: we can practice on any date, in our own adventure complex. As long as you come dressed warmly in the winter months or with a cap in times when the sun is more aggressive, it is more than enough.

You can book simple 60-minute sessions but as soon as you try it, you will want to purchase our 10-hour bonuses.

At Guies Vall Fosca we are going to discover that there is a really simple way to ascend to the most beautiful peaks in this part of Lleida. Without having to rely on the skills of climbers, you will have some of the sensations that they experience through the via ferratas on which we will accompany you.

The best thing about opting for this discipline is that complexity is eliminated thanks to the previous equipment that the walls that will be part of our expedition have. You may have never noticed from below, but there are sections of the mountain with staples, walkways, even stairs, which make the ascent a true walk in which the only factor to take into account is vertigo. We will do it like this:

- Leaving with a guide who will attend to a maximum of 4 participants. This way we can carefully monitor your progress and help you if you feel stuck or overwhelmed at any point.

- Carrying the necessary safety material with us. We will help you put it on and use it as it should so that we return in one piece.

Remember that you have to come dressed in mountaineering clothing and sports shoes with which you can move your feet well.
