"We just finished zip lining with Elsa, Francisco and Federico and we had a blast! we talked to Elsa on the phone to get all the information needed and asked some questions since my 8 year-old son was a bit worried about the process. br /> Elsa was so patient and she answered all her questions. She picked us up at our hotel on time, in a nice clean car and took us to a very quaint area close to the Huatulco hills. We would highly recommend Huatulco Expeditions for families with young children. Enjoy!!"

Tips if you are going to do White Water Rafting in Mexico

If you have an adventurous soul and like extreme emotions, rafting is an ideal plan for you. This sport is about descending rapids in rivers with different levels of current in a raft, it is a teamwork where the objective is not to be turned over. In Mexico there are several places where you can practice rafting, such as Veracruz, the Huasteca Potosina region or Guanajuato. Find a wide variety of rafting offers and don't miss out on this fun and exciting experience.

1. Pure Adrenaline



Feel the full emotion as you descend the rapids and try not to fall into the water. Depending on the level of the river, it will be the difficulty of the maneuvers that you and your team will have to do to avoid falling over, if you are a beginner you will look for a level I experience and little by little you will advance until you reach level VI, and so will increase the adrenaline and extreme sensations you will feel from the first time you live this adventure. At all times, the guide will accompany the group on board the raft and will help you perfect the paddling techniques necessary for each type of current.

2. Companionship and teamwork



Rafting is an activity that promotes teamwork since everyone must row with one objective, not to fall into the water. You will have to overcome all the challenges they encounter along the way and share the fun and anecdotes that this adventure entails. You may be sharing the raft with people new to you, so this is also a good time to socialize and learn to work as a team with people you don't know. It is a perfect activity to share with friends or family, it can also be an ideal activity to help school or companies to work in teams and bond together.

3. Enjoy nature



Rafting is an adventure that allows you to explore nature, you will navigate stretches of calm waters where you can enjoy and contemplate beautiful green landscapes, other stretches will be whitewater rapids where emotions will be on the surface. This is where you will challenge nature and its water currents trying not to fall off the raft. The rivers where the rafting takes place are usually surrounded by spectacular vegetation, waterfalls and in some cases, turquoise blue water rivers.

4. Reduce stress



This extreme sport allows you to escape from the daily routine, and when carried out in natural surroundings it will make you clear your mind and get in touch with nature, which will always recharge your energy to return strongly to your daily activities. The extreme emotions you will feel during the descent will make you release stress, and when you are sailing calmly you will feel peace and tranquility as you contemplate everything around you. A change of setting, especially if it is to a natural environment, always helps to relax and release stress and anxiety.

5. Helps your cardiovascular system



During the journey you will be on the move all the time, something which will make you exercise your body and therefore help your cardiovascular system. All exercise is good for our body and mind. Try to stay active with activities or sports that you like and that bring positive things to your health. Rafting will not only give you fun and the opportunity to meet new places and people, but it is a sport that will also provide you with benefits to your body and mind.

When is the best time to go rafting?



We recommend practicing this sport between March and November, being even better the rainy season which is usually in the summer months, because we guarantee that the riverbed and currents are in all their splendor, in very hot times there are even rivers that drop so much level that it is impossible to navigate in the raft.
