At Aberdeen and Stonehaven Yacht Club, you are able to sail at a few different places throughout the year. During the months of March to May, the clyb sails in the Loch of Skenem, which is freshwater. This loch is a great place for beginners to learn and get their confidence up before starting on something a bit harder. At the start of June, the club moves to the North Sea, which is a bit more challenging. The club then takes a break in November.
While most of the club are dinghy sailors, there are a few members at the club who enjoy yacht cruising. There are lots of races throughout the year, both friendly and serious, so there is something for everyone – from competition lovers to people who would just like to have some fun.
