The Amateur Diving Association of Siena organizes diving courses and issues FIPSAS-CMAS patents recognized throughout the world.
All courses start in February and take place at the municipal swimming pool in Piazza Amendola in Siena. They are divided into the following types:
- 1st degree courses - qualify you for no-decompression and couple diving at a maximum depth of 18 metres; they include a few hours of theoretical lessons and practical lessons which take place in the swimming pool and at the seaside (6 outings); minimum age of participants 14 years
- 2nd degree courses - qualify you for no-decompression and couple diving at a maximum depth of 30 metres; they include a few hours of theoretical lessons and practical lessons which take place in the swimming pool and at the seaside (6 outings); minimum age of participants 15 years
- 3rd degree courses - qualify you for no-decompression and couple diving at a maximum depth of 42 metres; they include a few hours of theoretical lessons and practical lessons which take place in the swimming pool and at the seaside (6 outings); minimum age of participants 16 years
- Specialization courses - Nitrox Basic; BLS Fipsas/Dan executor; Advanced Nitrox; Underwater photography
- Instructor training course - involves a period of shadowing an instructor in the swimming pool during the course; There is no provision for issuing patents, but through the acquisition of training credits the instructor in training can access an instructor course
To attend the courses, basic equipment is required, consisting of a mask with aerator, fins and a belt with four kilos of weight and during the courses it will be necessary to purchase more specific equipment.
