What are the best spots to surf in Cantabria?

- Playa de Somo: this beach of more than 2 kilometers has the best conditions to learn or improve your skills. Along their beaches, there are different spots for each level. For example, in Langre, you will find 1-meter waves, appropriate for beginners, and in Santa Maria, you will find waves between 1- and 5-meter height, which are appropriate for expert surfers. - Playa de Loredo: located between two more beaches results in that the winds currents are not so strong, becoming Playa de Loredo a perfect place for surf beginners. - Playas de Liencres: these are the closest beaches to the municipality of Torrelavega. Their key spots to do surf are Canallave, Valdearenas and La Ria. These beaches are quite exposed to wind currents and usually have right and left waves. We recommend this place for surfers with an intermediate level of skill. At the end of the beach, it is located the Natural Park, which is almost 3 kilometers long.

- Playa de Noja: the areas of El Brusco and El Ris are found here. They have high tides and high-quality waves. On this beach, there are two different surf schools.

- And finally, Playa El Sardinero, which is in Santander, the capital of the province, and is in turn divided into other two beaches.
