"Very good walk and you see the island from the sea. Choose a day with good sea. Stand on the bow of the sailboat. The captain, Miguel, a Galician, is somewhat sparing in his words, but then he cheers up and is sympathetic."

1. Scuba Diving Baptism in La Restringa.

For all those that don’t have any experience in the world of diving but, don’t want to miss the opportunity of meeting the submarine beauty that El Hierro hides… You can start with scuba diving baptism. After the theory part, you will enjoy an immersion for approximately 45 minutes, where you can dive up to 8 meters on depth and discover the richness of the marine life.

2. Kayaking From Orchilla lighthouse.

With this kayak trip, you will have the opportunity of passing through crystal clear waters from Punta de Orchilla up the area full of coves. You will watch the combination of dark rocky formations in the middle of the sea, you will fall in love. You can find other options like the Tacoron route or Estaca port.

3. Boat Trip Through the South of El Hierro.

With this boat trip, you will be able to cover one of the most important areas of the island, the south. An expert guide in geology will take you and inform you about the natural elements that will appear throughout your path. Also, if the weather is great, you can even practice snorkeling, and even spot a pretty dolphin.

4. MTB Route in Malpaso.

If you love to be in contact with nature and ride a bike, you will find the perfect combination in this 1500 meters descend, within you will cross mountain and woodland zones. Malpaso os one of those places with great beauty and vegetation, that, obviously, you will observe whilst riding the bike.

5. Speleology Session in Frontera.

El Hierro offers you the opportunity of practicing speleology in a different way since you can enter and walk through the passageways and volcanic caves. Don’t you think this is exciting? During a session of approximately 4 hours, an instructor will guide you through different cavities and explain the history of the different formations that appear at your path. Like always, the stalagmites and stalactites will be the protagonists, but… Do you know which one is the ones hanging from the rook and those on the ground?

6. Hiking Route Through Isora.

Get ready to walk throughout one of the zones with most enchantment all over the island… Departing from Isora, you will pass through the National Tourism Parador, the extensive pine forest until reaching the famous Tacoron natural pools. You will take as a souvenir a beautiful panoramic picture of the south of the island. Do not forget to put your sneakers in your suitcase, because you will need them.

7. Fishing Trip in La Estaca Port.

The fans of fishing have a date in La Estaca port, to sail through the waters of El Hierro and be able to catch the best examples of fishes, like the yellowfin, blue marlin, swordfish and even sharks. You will be accompanied by an expert fishing skipper, that will help the group every time necessary during the fishing process. It will be an unforgettable experience.

8. Paragliding From Mocanal.

If you really are looking is to leave with a full image of the island, without a doubt, you can’t abandon El Hierro without paragliding. With a pilot, a connoisseur of the island, you will enjoy a tandem flight in which you can completely see the island. The flights are carried out every day, from 10 AM to 9 PM, which is almost impossible to not find the perfect moment.

9. Guided Tour in the Guinea Ecomuseum.

We recommend you to visit one of the most famous touristic places of the island, accompanied by a local guide, that will tell you everything about the Guinea Ecomuseum, Lagartario, and the volcanic tube. You will deeply meet the customs, history, and idiosyncrasy of Hierro’s residents, and how was the life back then. A cultural route, that will make to fall in love with the island even more.

10. Sunset in the Fin del Mundo Lighthouse.

Come to discover the most occidental area of Spain, and learn why is it called the End of World Lighthouse. Enjoy one of the best and unique sunsets that Punta de Orchilla gives. The islanders boast about this place, that, back in the day, was one of the most important cartography references used by the sailers.
