We are a RYA sailing school, and yacht charter operator based in Christchurch Harbour, Dorset, on the South coast of England. We are located between the popular Solent and Poole harbour.
Our Location
Our location in Christchurch gives you an excellent starting point for exploring the area. From here you can choose destinations such as Keyhaven, Hurst Castle, Lymington, Yarmouth, Beaulieu and more.
We also have yachts available at Poole, Lymington and Southampton.
Our Services
Sailing School
Our RYA practical and theory sailing courses are part of the RYA Sail Cruising scheme, and are for complete beginners, and also those wanting to develop exisiting skills, eventually progressing to be a qualified Yachtmaster. We run the following courses:
Bareboat Charter
This charter is available for the more experience sailor. The qualifications and experience you need will depend on your destination, however the minimum requirements are usually for the skipper to hold a RYA Day Skipper Practical Certificate, plus another crew member who is suitably capable. We can provide more advice and information if you have any doubts.
Skippered Charter
If you don´t have the relevant experience or qualifications we can provide a qualified skipper with the yacht. Your Skipper will be RYA/DOT qualified and experienced, and will take care of all the planning, safety checks and procedures for you. He will also helm the yacht and take you to the destination of your choice (weather and time permitting). This is also a good choice for those who are more experienced, but mayvbe want to increase their confidence, or simply relax and enjoy being on the water, leaving the work to someone else! If you do want to sail, and maybe brush up your skills, you can take part in the sailing and helming as little or as much as you wish.
Corporate Events
We can provide event for client entertaining, staff reward days or team-building events. We can cater for groups as small as 4, and for up to 40. We can provide conference facilities, yachts and dinghies to create both water and land based training and events which will help develop your team in a fun and stimulating way.
Skippered Cruises
If you are a smaller group, or a couple or individual, and do not want to charter a whole yacht to yourselves, you can join other like-minded people on one of our skippered cruises. They are simple and hassle free - just book, turn up, enjoy the daym and we will do all of the work and the sailing for you. If you are a group of 4 or more, you can charter the whole yacht at a discounted rate.
You can enjoy cruises to France and The Channel Islands, sample the ´Cowes Week Regatta´, and enjoy half and full day sails.
